What happened to obfuscator app deCaf?

843810Aug 13 2002 — edited Aug 15 2002
Can anyone advise what has happened to the deCaf Java bytecode obfuscator plus encryption application developed by the Singapore Competency Centre for Java (JCC) at Kent Ridge Digital Labs (KRDL). I've tried many searches on the Internet, but there seems to be nothing much after the JavaOne Conference where it was presented in March 1998.

I know that there are many applications around called decaf, and Decaf with an uppercase "D", and written in Ada 95 is a decompiler of bytecode as far as I know.

However, I'm interested to know whether the deCaf which involved Chiang Kuo Chiang in Singapore is still in existence, has been bought out, renamed, etc.

Also, are there any similar products, i.e. bytecode obfuscation combined with encryption?
