What exactly is "enq: KO - fast object checkpoint" in AWR reports

castorpJun 26 2012 — edited Jun 26 2012
Hello,

we are profiling a third party application's performance and the AWR report shows a substantial amount of time (~30% of DB time) spent in that wait event.

I can't find any documentation on that and a search here doesn't show up anything either.

To what is this wait event related? What kind of SQL usage/pattern in the application can cause this?

Looking at the ASH views, it seems that this is mainly cause by a SELECT statement.

Thanks
Thomas
