Hi, all.

what does "DBA_MVIEWS.staleness" mean?

The following definition is from oracle manual.

---------
STALE - Materialized view is out of date because one or more of its masters has changed. If the materialized view was FRESH before it became STALE, then it is a read-consistent view of a former state of its masters.
---------

The following is from our system.

OWNER MVIEW_NAME STALENESS
------------------------------ ------------------------------ -------------------
REFOM RGST_INFO STALE
REFOM RFND_RSN_CD STALE
REFOM RGN_CD STALE
REFOM RMNG_BAND_INFO STALE
REFOM RMNG_CMN_CD STALE
REFOM RMNG_CNTRY_CD STALE
REFOM RMNG_CNTRY_CMNC_CD STALE
REFOM RMNG_CNTRY_RGN_CD STALE
REFOM BLNG_FOR_RMNG_CNTRY_CD STALE
REFOM BILL_PRMT_FRMT_INFO STALE

does this mean that mviews and their master tables are not consistent??

---------

I issued the following sql:

select * from MASTER_OWNER.RGST_INFO
minus
select * from REFOM.RGST_INFO

the resust is "no row selected": it means that the mview and its master table has the same data.

Then, what does it mean, "STALE" of dba_mviews?

Thanks in advance.
Best Regards.
