what does bitmap header of LMT look like?

OracleGuy777Aug 25 2008 — edited Sep 3 2008
hi guys,

I have tried googling around but have still not found the answer, so if someone could kindly explain or if they know of a good article they can point me to, I would appreciate it

basically, I am trying to think of what the bitmap header of a datafile belonging to a LMT looks like?

a) is this going to appear in the header of a datafile?
b) initially if we have no extents, it is going to be empty. Now we add an extent of say 128KB. I see two pieces of information that need to be stored. 1) the size (128 in this instance) 2) the address of the first block But how can this be represented by a bit? This is what is confusing me?

thanks guys
