weird console messages in sulog

Hi All,

we have some strange entries in the sulog showing that there were su switches from root
to some user on the system (Sparc Solaris 9).

SU 11/10 23:18 + console root-someuser
SU 11/10 23:43 + console root-someuser

there is no console attached to the system. How can we explain the console entries?
Does this mean, someone attached a serial console and logged in as root or is a process
able to run on /dev/console by other means?

Any help will be appreciated.
