Weblogic Active Directory - Username Case Sensitive

Not sure if this has been asked before but I could not find anything on otn. I am busy with an OBIEE 11g upgrade and have just finished setting up the active directory integration through weblogic. This is working and I am able to login to OBIEE without a problem. What I have noticed however is that when doing the application role assignment is that the user names are Case Sensitive.
Lets say my login was AbcdE and I logged in with username abcde. The login is successful but it will not recognise me as user AbcdE and I therefore do not get appropriate roles assigned to me. Is there a way to turn off Case sensitivity on the usernames?
