WebGate: Could not configure log engine (Linux)

After installing the WebGate on Linux AS 3 with Apache 2.x I am getting the error message in apache error.log:

WebGate: Could not configure log engine

whenever I am trying to access http://localhost

Could anyone offer some suggestion on how to fix it?
