Webcenter UCM Contributions Folder Problem / configuration of UCM folders

777287Dec 30 2011 — edited Dec 30 2011
This is a follow up from a previous post that was answered. I'm running WIn 2008 Server 64-bit, Database 11G, Jdev 11.1.5, Webcenter PS3 with UCM.

I'm following the WC Developer Tutorial from:

http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/webcenter.1111/e10273/createconnect.htm#BGBDDHAA

I got as far as Chapter 6. I was able to create the repository connection, but the Contributions Folder on the UCM is blank and contains no subdirectories even though I uploaded several directories to the UCM Vault Directory.

When first configuring UCM I did point the vault directory away from the default configuration. The current location of my vault directory is K:\csvault.

I am consulting the CS admin Guide (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E25054_01/doc.1111/e10792/toc.htm) but cannot fiind anything about this type of problem. I am also looking at the Desktop Integration User Guide (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21043_01/doc.1111/e10624/c07_servers.htm#BCFFGBIJ) but cannot find much information on how to correctly configure UCM folders.

Would my reference to K:\csvault be the reason why the Contributions Folder is empty even though I am checking in files successfully and seeing them on the K:\csvault directory? Do I need to make any special configurations to ensure that my server directory is recognized in UCM's 'Contribution Folder'??

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to correctly configure UCM folders?

Thanks, J
