My knowledge with Webcenter Portal is limited and I tried searching around but don't have enough clarity on the below scenario.
Our organization is using Webcenter Content 12c - we are considering developing a custom application to handle the distribution of correspondences in the organization.
All the correspondences will be stored in UCM, but we need additional functionalities around it with a powerful UI.
We are planning to build an ADF application over the Portal - that interacts with UCM using RIDC API's (or any built-in adapters that portal provides) to store and retrieve the correspondences from UCM with ACL permissioning.
All the fancy UI and notifications etc will be handled by Portal - is this even possible and is this the correct usage.
Is Webcenter sites the better option for this scenario.
Please advise.
