Hi all,
we're investigating huge performance problems with Oracle Portal (AS 10.1.2.3 on Windows 2003 R2 SP2, Portal 10.1.4.2.0, Database 10.2.0.4 EE on RHEL 5.5).
Analyzing various log files, we noticed the following messages in the Web Cache event.log:
[warning 11366] [ecid: xxx] A client connection to listening port 80 is dropped.
Web Cache is listening on port 80.
We tried to apply the solution described in the following MetaLink note: Portal Hangs After User Load Increases, Connection To Listening Port Is Dropped (Doc ID 551032.1),
by bumping up the value of the Web Cache sessions parameter (from 500 to 1000), despite the fact that the current number of Web Cache sessions is below 500, and Web Cache continues to log the aforesaid messages.
Any ideas or suggestions are welcome!
Regards
Dimitre
