Web start won't start up application
843802Jun 19 2009 — edited Jun 23 2009I have a very mature application that has been using webstart for a few years now. I recently got a new machine and am setting it up and for some reason my webstart app won't start up. When I launch the application I see the "Downloading/Verifying Application" screen and then the java console comes up. After that though nothing else ever happens. There is no activity written to the console and the application never launches.
I have tried uninstalling & reinstalling the jdk/jre several times (6u11, 6u13, 6u14) to no avail. I can, however, go over to a different machine and everything seems to work ok. This issue seems to be specific to the machine that I am on.
Has anyone ever seen this happen before? Any suggestions?
