We currently run payroll on EBS 12.1.3 (11.2 database) and are planning an upgrade over the next year or so. I'd like to exploit web services more in terms of tighter integration with our other systems as we have clunky file-based interfaces, database links and other old-school functionality that I'd like to retire.
Trouble is, Oracle appear to have a plethora of integration tools so identifying the best place to start is not clear. I'd like to do this in a cost-effective yet secure way (WS-Security?). Middleware currently OAS but EBS 12.2 will bring WebLogic. I'd like to stand up a simple proof of concept to start with (e.g. net pay to our independent HR dashboard web app) just to get everyone on board with the strategy and generate interest.
Is OAG the way to go?
