Web Service Calls from ADF Application running in the same Managed Server.

We have a Web Service, and an ADF Application deployed to the same managed server on WebLogic Server.
(Both Web Service and ADF Application are developed and deployed seperately. Web Service is Generic Applicaiton, ADF is Fusion Web Application.)
The ADF Application makes a call to the Web Service. We generated a proxy client to the Web Service in the ADF Application and invoke it.
Since both of them run in the same managed server in the weblogic, is there a better way orther than to invoke the web service through a proxy, to improve performance?
Something like invoking a web service directly from another web service running within the same server?
