Web Service Access and Active Directory authentication

Hi

We have a requirement that all users accessing a web service be authenticated via Active Directory and then authorised via Active Directory. The clients
can access the web service endpoints using various platforms. Is this possible?

I have looked into attaching kerberos policies but as they are not logging into our network , this does not seem to be an option.

Any help would be appreciated.
