Web 2.0 Solutions Paracas example

Has anyone tried using the Paracas application in chapter 5 of this book and got it to work/render okay? As is, the runtime page has microscopic icons in the top left of the page, and no visible company logo. I wrote to one of the authors (no answer), and no errata on the publisher's web site. Thanks.
