I would like to seek your guidance on selecting and highlighting GIS segments as L8 components linked to L7 assets within the WACS application. Currently, these segments are neither located nor highlighted from the Asset tab in the WACS–GIS Map Viewer.
As per our integration design :
- GIS Global IDs are stored at the L8 component level and attached to assets
- Multiple components are grouped to form an L7 asset
- Latitude and Longitude are maintained at the asset location level
- The first segment’s latitude/longitude from GIS is referenced and stored at the asset location
We tried troubleshooting the issue in detail and WACS OOTB Code – do not allow the components to Sync up and select on Map viewer.
Eg - Asset ID = 296881747592
Also, while reviewing the WACS help portal for Selecting and Highlighting Assets in the WACS–GIS Map Viewer from the Asset tab,
Features are not selected if the asset location is not found in WAM.
Components are "attached" to an Asset and are not considered an Asset since multiple Components can be attached to the same Asset.
If there is a desire to include the ability to view the Asset the Component is attached to from the Component .
