Hi All
We've a set-up where we're migrating the content store of WCS to WCC as backend. While users have the flexibility of WCS for content creation and business-as-usual activities, content lifecycle is managed by OWCC. So all documents will only be present at OWCC and document assets at OWCS will only have the metadata. We are using an Out of the box connector which synchronizes the documents's metadata from OWCC to OWCS. As users are moving from OWCS to OWCC for creating content, users are expecting the system experience and performance to be intact i.e., documents to be synced immediately (approx within ~10 secs).
While document is checked-in to OWCC, indexer has to pick up theĀ new documents for indexing and then use OTS to build the search indexes, unless this entire activity is complete document is not moved to 'RELEASED' status. As per OWCS integration mechanism, only released state documents are eligible for synchronization. As the indexer processing depends on various things like Load on OTS, size of document, database performance etc, it becomes difficult to place the document into WCS Queue (from where connector picks up documents from OWCC for sync) with in the business expected time interval(~10 secs).
So would like to know if there is any way to place the document in RELEASED status immediately (by-passingsome activities and placing it in QUEUE) after the document is check-in or how can we improve the overall performance in such integration scenario.
Thank you!
