Warning 20100: This connection required recovery due to an improper shutdow

Hello:

This warning appears each time I stopped and restarted timesten daemon. But I have always done this task in order to stop database. So on this case what is the right way to stop (or shutdown) database in order to avoid this warning and this recover.
The fact is that, when I stop and restart my production database, this recover takes too much time, so if I stopped database in a right way, recovery would not be necessary.
