VM Server 64bit or 32bit

630557Jul 12 2010 — edited Jul 13 2010
Hey all:

Currently waiting for access for edelivery. In the mean time, can anyone tell me if there is a 64 bit version of VM Server? An initial setup of a VM pool has the VM Servers using a 32 bit version.

[root@vmserver01 ~]# uname -rm
2.6.18-128.2.1.4.9.el5xen i686

Where a guest shows on this server shows:

sandbox01>-bash-3.2$ uname -rm
2.6.18-92.1.22.0.1.el5xen x86_64

I would suspect that a 64 bit VM Server is preferable. Or, does this really matter if the VM Server is 32 bit and guests are 64?

TIA,
Pete's
