VM Management using OEM

678641Mar 12 2009 — edited Mar 13 2009
Folks,

We're undertaking an exercise in work to explore Linux and Oracle VM as a strategic platform going forward.

To date I've setup one VM Server running 3 guest VMs (a mixture of Versions / Distros), and installed VM Manager on another Server (all worked fine). I've now moved on to looking at Enterprise Manager and it's VM Management.

Has anyone got this working yet?

I'm running OEM GC 10.2.0.5, and have followed the Metalink Doc ID to add the Virtualization Tab to the Inferface. When I try and add in my Server Pool I get an error to say it's already managed (is this because I previously used VM Manager?). If I try to add in a Virtual Server I get an error message to say I'm not licensed for the Oracle VM Management Pack.

If anyone has got it working could they outline what worked for them?

Thanks
James
