vLAN type vs DG sync

User_C0VQTJul 6 2020 — edited Jul 8 2020

Dears

what's you view on using for DG sync:

1. separate vLANs for primary and standby RACs

2. common (stretched) vLAN for both RACs

I can only see some security aspect which in fact may be resolved on firewall (allowing IPs instead of entire subnet) to reduce risk of attack from behind the firewall. Of course when entering primary or standby RAC node, the intruder will find information about other nodes regardless of vLAN's type.

Or are there other aspects?
