Is Visual Studio 2026 supported with Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio Release 23.8?
I get an SSIS error when using ODP.NET managed driver "[ADO NET Destination [2]] Error: ADO NET Destination has failed to acquire the connection ... with the following error message: "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.".".
The SSIS package works fine in Visual Studio 2022.
Microsoft Visual Studio Marketplace says ODT for Visual Studio 2022 is compatible with Visual Studio 2026 but I'm aware the Oracle ODT downloads web page only list up to Visual Studio 2022 and not 2026.
Do you advise to wait for the ODT Visual Studio 2026 extension and use ODT for Visual Studio 2022 in the meantime?
Do you have an estimate when ODT for Visual Studio 2026 will be released?
ODT release notes only says for version 21.7.0 supports Visual Studio 2022 and no release notes on support for Visual Studio 2026 at this time.
