VIS and VIS2 programming

Hello ya'll

Is there a book or a good article that teaches how to implement VIS instructions in C code? Or more specifically I need information on how to use the vis.h header to implement VIS instructions in my code. My purpose is to speed up floating point operations. I need this in order to speed up a molecular dynamics algorithm which I am using as part of my research.

Im using dual USIIIi CPUs in Solaris10 and Sun Studio 12.1
