Hi,

I am trying to install 2 node Oracle RAC 11gR2 on Virtualbox and receiving and error during the installation of Cluster ware. I am using latest version of virtual Box on host windows 7 and guest OS is Oracle Linux 6.3.

Referring to the blogs:

http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/11g/oracle-db-11gr2-rac-installation-on-oracle-linux-6-using-virtualbox.php

I am using SCAN IPs in round-robin fashion and 2 Public and 2 Private IPs.

here's is my /etc/hosts:
127.0.0.1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost4 localhost4.localdomain4
::1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost6 localhost6.localdomain6

#Private
192.168.10.1 olinrac1-priv.localdomain rac1-priv
192.168.10.2 olinrac2-priv.localdomain rac2-priv

#Public
192.168.56.71 Olinrac1.localdomain rac1 olinrac1
192.168.56.72 olinrac2.localdomain rac2 olinrac2

#Virtual
192.168.56.81 olinrac1-vip.localdomain rac1-vip
192.168.56.82 olinrac2-vip.localdomain rac2-vip
#192.168.56.83 olinrac1-vip.localdomain rac1-vip
#192.168.56.84 olinrac2-vip.localdomain rac2-vip

#Scan
192.168.56.91 rac-scan.localdomain rac-scan
192.168.56.92 rac-scan.localdomain rac-scan

I am able to do nslookup for both the VIP name. but during the installation it fails.

Please let me know if more information is required.
