Virtual Box VM can't ping the host

949487Jul 15 2012 — edited Jul 15 2012
Hi All,

I have installed Oracle Virtual Box on my laptop with Windows 7 installed. I am running Oracle Enterprise Linux on virtual box. I have configured host only adapter and given following IP's:

Host i.e. Windows7 Laptop IP:192.168.56.1
VM i.e. Oracle Enter Linux IP: 192.168.56.101

The problem is that I can ping VM from host but can not ping host from VM, I have disabled firewall on my windows 7 machine. Please guide me. There is some application runnin on linux VM and I need to access Host OS from VM.

regards,

Khurram Shahzad
