Hello,
I did a new default XE 11g installation under a Windows 8.1, and I have to move into his database 1.5 GB of data (50 tables). One table has a blob column, and it has 600k rows; each row has a blob, and the size of each blob can be between 1kb and 100kb.
When inserting this table with blobs, it goes very quickly (50 rows can take 1 second or less) up to certain point in the insertion of these blobs, in where it start to be very very slow (50 can take more than 5 seconds).
If I cancell the whole process (for example at row 150,000), and then I start again from cero by deleting all the tables and appending all again, it goes very quick upto row 150,000 and then I starts to be very slow again. This is not a cache issue (I checked to restart the machine). It seems it relative to the tablespace growing, but I can´t find an answer about this point.
Is there some clue for this?.
Very sorry for asking, I am not an Oracle expert.
Best regards,
Dany
