Very slow downloads

I've attempted to download Oracle 10g, 9i and several other files from the Oracle website. The download speed is terribly slow, around 2kb/sec, and the files are so big it would take days to download them. I have a 1Mb DSL connection and am not having any problems downloading files from any other web sites.

I've tried to download at various times of the day and night, as well as from work with a T1 line -- still no luck. Is there some secret to downloading these files?
