Verify the Integrity of a Patch/Software Download

Hi all,

I am using Oracle Linux 5

How to Verify the Integrity of a Patch/Software Download? [Video] (Doc ID 549617.1)

$ md5sum /u03/11204/p13390677_112040_LINUX_1of7.zip

2b06afef21c6fdd94fdc83eb4fb7ad85 /u03/11204/p13390677_112040_LINUX_1of7.zip

[oracle@OEL5 ~]$ sha1sum /u03/11204/p13390677_112040_LINUX_2of7.zip

5b8fce0253eb4549f149dcb9bb9b2646f8755ecd /u03/11204/p13390677_112040_LINUX_2of7.zip

After downloaded required database patchsets, I have checked integrity of them.

I dont understand given output of md5sum and sha1sum

>> What is this actually ?

md5sum output ==> 2b06afef21c6fdd94fdc83eb4fb7ad85

sha1sum output ==> 5b8fce0253eb4549f149dcb9bb9b2646f8755ecd
