Validating inputText fields on submit when components are disabled

Hi all!

I need to validate that data was entered in some input texts, which is easy to do when Required attribute is set to "true", but I didn't find a solution yet when I need those fields to be disabled and validate them anyway before submitting the page. Ideas? Alternatives?

I am using JDev 11.1.1.5.0 in a WS 7, 64 Bits.
