Validate the User Id and Password

I am accepting a User Name and Password.
I am using Jsp. and Database is MS- Access.

Kindly let me know how should I validate the username and password
against the MS-Access fields.

I am able get the JDBC connectivity, But unable to proceed

Kindly reply How to Validate the screen username and pasword
against the database username and pasword.

I am using the tomacat server
