v$ views and gv$ views

Hi All,

I am on v11.2, soon moving on to 4 node RAC.
Very basic question here. I know on RAC, we can use gv$ views like we use v$ views on single node system.
So, when on 4 node RAC cluster, are the v$ views still there for individual instances (along with gv$ views)?
And do gv$ views hold data for all nodes in the cluster?
