UTL_FILE package & line terminator character.

I have created a process to export data using the Oracle UTL_FILE package. According the Oracle online documentation the line terminator is a platform-specific character. Our Oracle database is on a Windows O/S platform and so the output includes a CARRIAGE RETURN & LINE FEED. Is there any way to limited this output to just include a LINE FEED only? Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated.
