Using UTF-8 with Workflow

I need some urgent help.

I've made a .wft file in utf-8 format. this means that all characters takes up 2 bytes - but when I try to load this up - via WFLOAD - I get the "... Buffer too small..."

How do I tell wfload to run "in utf-8" mode?

BTW; is it possbile - to change the display_name in the wf_messages_tl - without updating the table - via API eg. ?
