Hi, I'm new to Oracle SQL Developer; when I expand the table name on the left side pane, it doesn't give me a list of columns in that table. Instead, it runs a select * on that table then I can click on the "Column" table in the right pane. I'm sure there is a setting somewhere to control this but I cannot find it. I found another discussion thread here on turning off the "Open Object on Single Click" option in Tools, Preferences, Database, Object Viewer. That only prevents it from running a select * when I click on the table name, I still do not see a list of columns. I'm on Version 4.2.0.16.260, Build 16.260.1303. Any help on this would be great as this is very annoying that I cannot see the list of columns unless you run a select *.
