I'm interesting in finding out more about "Reference partitioning". We currently have a situation where we have a parent table that we need to partition but all of its children, grandchildren and great grandchildren also need to be partition. The issue is that we reference all these children tables via the primary key. According to what I've read on "Reference partitioning", it appears that a child table will inherit the parent partitioning. My question is will the grandchild and great grandchild also inherit from its grandparent and great grandparent?
