Using openMP and java (JOMP)

807598May 20 2006 — edited May 21 2006
Hi, I just downloaded jomp1.0b.jar which is supposed to include the library and compiler that you can use to write openMP code with java. The instructions say I need to "put jomp1.0b.jar in a suitable directory and add the file jomp1.0b.jar to your CLASSPATH."

I don't understand how to do this. I don't know where my classpath is. Does anybody know how I could find it and how to really install this thing so that I can write code.

I'd really appreciate any help anybody can give. I need to use this thing to write some openMP code for an assignment that's due on Monday.

Thanks again,
Douglas

PS I got the file here: http://www.epcc.ed.ac.uk/research/jomp/download.html

I have no clue what I'm doing. Could someone please help me with this. I would really appreciate it.
