Using OEM to monitor Oracle Database Appliance ?

Is anyone using OEM (or any other software) to monitor their Oracle Database Appliance?:

I'm not talking about provisioning the database on the appliance...I want to monitor the appliance itself.

I'm hoping I don't have to travel down the ugly road of 'expect' programming in order to gather/parse information from the system.
