Using Name Abbreviations to shorten long FK names seems to run ok but hasnt
I have about 24 fk names that are too long, so I created a csv file with the long name,short name and used the Name Abbreviations dialog box to apply these changes. However I cant see the changes in the diagram and the ddl fails as well as the design rules. The trouble is I am sure I used this facility once and it worked , but now it just doesnt work. If I re-run then the log shows no changes were made, presumably as they already had been made,
Please help as I dont want to manually shorten the fks each time I generate the relational from logical design
