Using mailx to save attachments

I need to use mailx to save attachments sent from outlook. Can anybody help me?
When I read the mail I can see the encoded txt (among other things) which starts with:

</HTML>
------_=_NextPart_002_01C9F9E0.142F0AAF--
------_=_NextPart_001_01C9F9E0.142F0AAF
Content-Type: image/jpeg;
name="file.JPG"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
Content-Description: file.JPG
Content-Disposition: attachment;
filename="file.JPG"
So I guess its a mime base64 encoded file but don't know how to unencode and save to a file?
Is anybody able to help?
