Using iFS ACL

59364Apr 17 2002
Hi,
I am in the process of looking at the feasibility of using iFS and need some technical guidance in using iFS. I know iFS has an ACL to control file access and privileges. But can my application still make use of the ACL to control file access when my users are not stored in Oracle's user list? Eg. my users' information are all stored in a table called MyUsers which contains their userids, login, password etc. Can I use iFS's ACL in relation to the information stored in my own tables so that I do not need to implement my own ACL? Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you.
