Using DR Database for Backup

Hello,

We are on 9.2.0.7 Database with two DR instances in place.

We have a scheduled hot backup that runs on the Production instance every day.
We are looking to take off the hot backup from Production instance and implement some sort of backup strategy at DR database.

Would appreciate if you can provide your suggestions on the requirnment or let me know if there is any sort of documentation available on this ?
