using developer 6i with oracle 11g ??

Hi,we are using oracle developer 6i (form,reports).
We are planning to buy oracle database of 11g R2 verson.
can we contine out application in developer 6i front end?
are there any compatibility problems with both?
If this does not support which verson developer suite is compatiable?
plz suggest?
