Using DBMS_XMLGEN, How to add Attributes to root tag and row tag

Happy 2006,
I need to add an attribute in the row element using DBMS_XMLGEN.SetRowSetTag. I cannot see in the syntax how to do this. If I need to use an XSLT can you give me idea on the syntax to add an attribute.

Also, can I add an attribute to the root element after the CtxHandle is complete?
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
