using css and java scripts in a hosted environment

I have a client that wants me to re-create their content only site using apex and a free hosting service. My first thought is to just put something on apex.oracle.com to make sure it can be done. The only hang up I'm having is being able to include css files and a java script include file that is currently in a sub-directory of the web-host. I've got both files, just need the know how on how-to do this. Any help?
