using berkley DB in cluster environment using application server

Is there a feaure of updating berkley db instance across application server instances in a cluster environment.

For standlone appserver instance, i will have data inside BDB, however when we have horizontal or vertical cluster of app server then how can we synchronize data state across the cluster.
Is this possible.
