Users losing security rights - Planning 4.0.1
632233Apr 4 2008 — edited Apr 8 2008We have been having problems lately with our users losing their security rights to Planning and/or Reports in varying degrees without the administrators doing anything to cause this.
For example, we have had users lose their ability to log into Planning and/or Reports at all. They can typically log into one, but not the other and when they try to log in they get this error message:
"Invalid Username or Password. Access Denied"
The people that we have spoken to about this have not changed their password in the network recently and have tried multiple times to log in so it's not just an issue of mistyping their password.
Then last night we had a large number of people lose their write access to Planning. They could get in and read, but not write, but when we did not take this access away. They could write one minute, but not the next. When we went in to fix their access, everything was set up correctly and a simple refresh in the Planning Desktop fixed it.
Unfortunately we have a worldwide corporation and cannot be on at all times to refresh the database whenever someone randomly loses access for some reason.
Has anyone had this problem and/or know how to correct it?
