I have a user who was recently granted access to HFM. He is unable to login, receives an error:
"Could not authenticate the specified user."
The details of the error state:

I am not sure at all why he cannot authenticate, he was setup just like another person who can login just fine. He can access other applications on the network. We do authenticate against AD so he's using his network account/pwd combo that works on all other applications.
Has anyone at all experienced this error?
Only thing (and i know it can't be it as why would anything authenticate against a name?) is that his AD account shows a different First and Last Name combination than what he goes by in other applications. Like I said, the app's all authenticate against his numerical user id so i am sure that's not it.
Does HFM have issues if a person is a member of to many AD groups? I have another app that does act weird if the user is a member of to many groups which is why i ask. If this is the case, what's the limit on how many groups a person can be a member of?
anyway, i am grasping at straws here as I am not sure what the error is all about...
thanks,
Marshal
