Hello !

I want to become familiar with Oracle Database.
So I downloaded Oracle Express 11g with SQL Developer.

To start with this Database I bought the book "SQL Thinking".
So I startet reading, but on the second page they want to start or connect to a new User named Scott or anything like a Database for get related Tables bellow of Scott. But the Systems replies with a denied error.

So i tried again with SQL Plus, and connectet to SQL Plus with UserName: System and my Password .... .... and this worked.
Than I tried to unlook with ... ALTER USER scott ACCOUNT UNLOCK ..... than,
ALTER USER Scott IDENTIFIED BY qwertzuiop

but he fourther don't know the user Scott .... ?!!!
whats wrong ?
