User's database account keeps locking

EricPSUJan 11 2010 — edited Jun 30 2010
I've configured my repository so each OBIEE user logs into the database with their own username/password. For some reason, when more than around 10 people are logged into OBIEE, some user's database accounts begin to lock. The database account has the status "LOCKED (TIMED)". This happens AFTER they logged in successfully and have been in the system for a minute or two. I have checked the log files for OBIEE and for my Oracle 10g database, but nothing helps. The only database restrictions I have on accounts are 10 login attempts and strong passwords.

I can also re-create this error by logging into OBIEE as one user multiple times. It usually takes about 10 sessions for the error to occur. If I open 10 OBIEE sessions and then go back to the first session I opened and run a report, it will return an ORA error stating that my account is locked.

One thing I did notice is that when I log into OBIEE, the database shows a session open for each report on my default dashboard. I have 8 reports on the default dashboard and there are 8 different session IDs for my user. I have opened an SR with Oracle about this, but was wondering if anyone else had any ideas.
