We have a Production database with an Active Data Guard database. Our Production database is in a secure zone on our network. We have a group of users that only require read only access to the database so we allow them to access the standby Active Data Guard with no network access to access the Production database. The problem is we are required to have users change their password every ninety days, but since these users have never logged into the production database, only the standby database, their account passwords never expire. I assume since they have never logged into the Production database the counter never starts for the expiration policy set on the profile?
We just need the passwords to expire after ninety days and we that have access to production will help them re-set their passwords. Any suggestions for a solution to this problem?
